- “I thought my house was being picked up like one of those toys in a vending machine. It was the first time I’ve felt an earthquake and be aware of it.“
- “Whole house vibrated and shook. Saw house & hill slide North & South 3 times. Stopped suddenly. 5-10 seconds later. Slammed with an abrupt jolt coming up.”
The ShakeAlert Earthquake Early Warning System message was issued for this event. ShakeAlert provides residents enough time to Drop, Cover & Hold, which can save your life in an earthquake!
One Santa Rosa resident reported: “What was nice is siren on phone went off and page came up earthquake and hit the floor and cover yourself…then the quake happened about 1 min later. It was nice to have a warning before!”
