Reports from this earthquake
A homeowner in Bakersfield, California, states:
“Sitting at my desk, it literally took my chair and shook it back and forth, and it did last 30 seconds. I’ve grown up in California born and raised, and I love them. They don’t scare me. I actually sit and feel them. Obviously, I try to get to a doorway, and I remember that I live in California, and it’s just part of my day. I don’t usually feel them that intense.”
A homeowner in Lebec, California, states:
“I was sitting in a chair when abruptly it felt like the floor started to bounce up and down; 1st couple of jolts were the heaviest, then about 10 seconds of nothing, then continued small, bumping up-and-down actions for a continued 10 to 15 seconds.”
