Homes near Seattle, Washington, were rattled by a magnitude-4.3 earthquake that struck on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 7:21 p.m. Pacific Time. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake’s epicenter was about two miles northeast of Marrowstone, Washington, and about 41 miles southeast of British Columbia. According to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, the earthquake hit at a depth of 57 kilometers and was widely felt around the Puget Sound region.
The shaking was felt in Port Ludlow, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Everett, Marysville, Shoreline, Seattle, and Bellevue.
