A magnitude-4.1 earthquake struck 4 miles northwest of Bay Point in Contra Costa County, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 6:07 AM Pacific Time.

This shaker awoke residents throughout the Bay Area, with the most shaking reported in the cities of Concord, Martinez, Pittsburg, Antioch, Clayton, San Francisco, Oakland, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Benicia, Fairfield, Vacaville and Redwood City. The ShakeAlert Earthquake Early Warning System was activated for this event.
