A magnitude-3.9 earthquake struck the Bay Area of Northern California, just 2 km NE of San Ramon, CA on November 17, 2021 at 11:43 AM Wednesday, Pacific Time.

Residents in wide-spread areas of Contra Costa County felt shaking from San Ramon to Concord, even as far south as Santa Cruz. This California earthquake triggered the ShakeAlert earthquake early warning system. An alert was sent to residents in just under 5 seconds from sensors being triggered.
